As usual, I am the only one in my family who likes sweet potatoes. When I want one, I usually just bake one for myself but I decided that the rest of the family was going to try ONE MORE TIME to eat a sweet potato. I found this recipe and decided that they might eat them if they were spicy. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I loved them! They wouldn’t eat them because “it tastes like sweet potatoes”. Well, d’uh! I give up.
Spicy Sweet Potato Fries
3 sweet potatoes, cut into fries
2 tbsps vegetable oil
1 pkg. taco seasoning (3 tbsps.)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 425º.
Combine all ingredients in a zip lock bag and mush around until potatoes are well coated.
Spread fries out in a single-layer on a foil-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes, turn, and continue baking for 15-20 minutes or until crisp. If you cut your fries thinner, they will cook faster so be sure to keep and eye on them.
Happy Cooking!
