Blue Cheese Burgers
March 30, 2009
Friday nights have kind of morphed into burger night here at our house. I am always on the lookout for burger recipes that are more than just plain cheeseburgers. Lately, I have been cooking them on my grill pan since we are STILL out of gas for the grill…maybe this week DH will get some, LOL!
These burgers are flavorful and easy to make. Just be sure to plan ahead since the meat needs to be mixed up and refrigerated for a couple of hours before cooking them.

Blue Cheese Burgers
3 pounds ground beef
4 ounces crumbled blue cheese
1/2 cup minced fresh chives
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce (use more if want more of a kick)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsps salt
1 tsp dry mustard
12 burger buns
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except the burger buns. Don’t over mix or the burgers will be tough. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Gently form the burger mix into 12 patties. Gently push your thumb in the middle to make a dent so you won’t get that burger bump when you cook them.
Grill patties until they are done to your liking. Serve on rolls.
Makes 12 burgers (may make less depending on how big you make your burgers)
Happy Cooking!
